Only what's needed to keep you signed in.

• Session (essential). Keeps you signed in between page loads. Set by our authentication provider. If you block these, you can't sign in.
• Preferences (essential). Remembers small choices like your last selected pet, so the app opens where you left off.
• Security (essential). Detects unusual sign-in patterns and helps protect your account.
• Bot protection (essential). On sign-up and other public forms, Cloudflare Turnstile may set short-lived storage entries to remember that you've already passed a human-verification check on this device. It does not track you across sites or build an advertising profile.
• Referral link (functional). If you arrive at Petlys through a friend's personal referral link (a URL with ?r=), we save that code to your browser's local storage for up to 90 days so we can credit your friend when you join. It stores only the code itself — no name, no email, no cross-site tracking. Clearing your browser storage removes it and blocks the credit.

• No advertising cookies. Petlys shows no ads.
• No third-party analytics pixels (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.).
• No cross-site tracking cookies.

Because every cookie and storage entry we set is strictly necessary to sign you in and keep the app working, there's no "reject non-essential cookies" banner to show — we don't set any. You can still clear cookies and local storage in your browser at any time; the next visit will just require you to sign in again.

There isn't an industry-agreed standard for how services should respond to Do Not Track signals. Because we don't track you across sites in the first place, DNT doesn't change our behavior.

If we ever add a new category (for example, opt-in product analytics), we'll update this page and, if it's non-essential, ask for your consent first.
